Dedicated to supporting French-speaking research into humanitarian and social action, the French Red Cross Foundation awards research grants in the humanities and social sciences each year through its calls for applications presented below.

All French-speaking PhDs in the humanities and social sciences, whatever their nationality, who can prove that they are available for at least 6 months during the year devoted to research, are eligible to apply for the Foundation’s grants, whether or not they hold a degree in higher education or research. The French Red Cross Foundation also supports refugee researchers, whether French-speaking or not, and within the framework of reception schemes such as the PAUSE program.

In the case of a project selected by a tenured researcher, the collaboration will be formalized by the signature of a partnership agreement between the Foundation and the supervisory body of the winner’s laboratory, and in accordance with certain conditions set by the Foundation, notably concerning budgetary reports and the amount that may be allocated to operating costs

Depending on the call for proposals, funding is granted to cover the cost of individual or collective research projects.
