"Beyond the walls" EHPAD model: an innovative model of home support to meet the challenges of combating isolation
The aim of this research is to examine the way in which “beyond the walls” EHPAD-type facilities respond to the challenges of combating the social isolation of the elderly. These facilities offer outsourced services and enhanced care to ensure that the elderly remain at home. This type of action raises questions because of its innovative approach. Mr. Braverman, Doctor in Sociology (EHESS, 2017), is interested in the singular place occupied by the “beyond the walls” EPHAD model in the fight against the social isolation of the elderly.
