Aid for housing and shelter from Humanitarian International: the case of Syrian refugee tenants in the locality of Bar Elias in Lebanon

This study seeks to highlight the differences between short-term humanitarian aid policies and the sociological realities of refugees, actors and the local context, highlighting the limits of contemporary humanitarian intervention in a global context of prolonged exile. The researcher, Doctor of Geography (University of Lille, 2020), based its research on empirical work focused on the experience of Syrian refugee tenants in Bar Elias in Bekaa and supplemented by doctoral work on the revitalization of the rental market of the Palestinian camp of Bourj El-Barajneh following the Syrian crisis.
